The technical part. I DO NOT speak code. If I give up, that will be the reason. It’s not worth a stroke.

      Hello Janey
I know the technical back can be frustrating but don’t give up because of that. There are plenty of people on the web that want you to succeed. If you run into problems, ask for help. My group on Twitter is very knowledgeable and willing to help.

Haha! We had a mama and babies under our deck a month ago. Unfortunately, the deck is at the door we use to enter and leave the house. It actually sprayed our dog, through the deck. I think the dog scared it and it must have moved the babies in the middle of the night because they disappeared the next day.

My biggest blogging frustration is getting people (family and friends) to believe that my blog is a business and I need to spend time working. I am not making money yet, and so they assume it is just a hobby. I need to start getting some sponsored posts and such so I can say it is a business and not get laughed out of the room. When I send e-mails all I get is crickets! I am taking another course on Travel Blogging and hope they can help me with the wording of my e-mails. Thanks for reading!

Having the approval of family is good but not essential.
Have you tried sitting down with them to tell them that blogging is important to you and it’s something that you want to pursue?
The takeaway for them is that you don’t need their permission to do this, but you would like their support.

My biggest frustration is self promotion. I hate doing it but it’s a nessity.

I totally understand. I remember when I first started, I was very apprehensive to toot my own horn. But if your content is helpful information, then toot away. If you’re all about you and buy, buy, buy, (did you hear NSYNC when you read that?) people will know the difference.
