Steven Webb is the author of How to Create Your Inner Peace – 5 SIMPLE PRACTICES to overcome stress, anxiety, and to create your lasting happiness and freedom.

Steven is also the creator of Your Inner Peace Academy which provides the tools, teaching, and necessary guidance for you to find your inner peace, take control of your life, and live with genuine freedom to fulfill your purpose.

Steven broke his neck at 18, which left him severely paralysed, unable to walk and needing 24-hour care for the rest of his life.  This alone makes him unique among spiritual teachers with the depth and heartfelt wisdom to live from real inner peace no matter how difficult your circumstances may be.

Steven’s adversity did not end after breaking his neck, he has also suffered from loneliness, depression, bankruptcy, being cheated on, and losing family and close friends to suicide.

However, Steven story is not one of sympathy but one of triumph against the odds.  Steven now helps people all over the world find their inner peace, their own wings to live their purpose and with an inner freedom that no one can take away from them.

Steven believes there is a gift and everything, although sometimes we must look a little harder.

1. How long have you been blogging?

Around 4 years, although I don’t blog as much as I have in the past. Over the coming months, I will be reigniting my blogging enthusiasm.

2. Are you a full-time blogger or do you also have another job/career?

No, although blogging is one of the foundations of my job. As a personal inner peace guide, and spiritual teacher blogging is one of the foundational ways in which I can get my style and my message out and help others.

3. What got you started into blogging?

Necessity really, I was at rock bottom and my life could not get much worse. Going nowhere fast and getting old I felt it was about time I achieved something. Always fancying myself as a bit of a writer, although, severely dyslexic and never thought it was really possible. So, I gave it a try. Surely, it’s only my family that is going to read them. Ironically, my family never did! And still don’t today.

4. What is your blog about and how does it help others?

Being severely paralysed I have a unique perspective on the world and how to overcome suffering. And I use meditation and mindfulness as the catalyst to overcome our unnecessary suffering. My inner peace blog is how we can transcend the suffering, become friends with the ego and the mental chatter, while enjoying a little stillness and clarity.

https://stevenwebb.com will help you to find a little gap in space in your life so you can enjoy genuine freedom, no more allowing fear and the unknown to hold you back. In short, it’s about seeing life differently and living accordingly.

5. What is working for you and your blog? Why?

In my opinion persistence and regularity are the two things that work in the world of blogging more than anything else. Also, they are the two things I’ve been lacking in the past 12 months and it shows. You are better off blogging once a week for 52 weeks, then you are blogging for 30 days in a row and then not blogging for 3 months. That really is the key. Then, a little variety without going away from your niche. If you want to do well with a particular part of your niche. Write three blogs about it, and use the same keywords in all three. Google, needs to know you’re not a one blog wonder!

6. What did not work out so well for your blog?

7. What tools, programs, apps do you use to create your blog/website (tools that you can’t live without)?

My website https://stevenwebb.com is WordPress, and I cannot think of a better platform to start your blog. It’s free, it works and with the new version 5 just around the corner, your blogs are now going to look amazing.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking, as I’m severely paralysed I rely on speech software. And although all the mobile devices and tablets have speech software that can turn anything I say into written word nothing comes close to the accuracy of Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

8. What piece of advice would you give to someone who is interested in starting a blog?

Don’t sweat the small stuff. (I’m still working on this one)

Don’t spend four days debating on the colour of your logo, what typeface you are going to use. You’re better off writing your blogs, getting the content up there and start getting traffic. As long as the visitors can read the blog, they don’t have to squint their eyes and it is not covered in adverts you will do okay.

Having spent many days, weeks, and months sweating the small stuff I can only imagine how far along my career and blog would be if only I kept writing during that time.

9. What do you have planned for the future of your website/blog?

Next week I will be giving away a 7-day introduction to meditation course in order to build my email list. Oh yeah, build your email list!
