Wow. Look at you. Your first blog post is almost finished! But before we begin, we need to proofread and edit our post.
Edit your post.
To start, read your post out loud. You will be surprised as to the mistakes that you can find when you are reading your post out loud. You’ll find those run-on sentences. Subject-verb disagreements and a whole slew of other mistakes. The problem with proofreading your post right after you write is that your mind takes over and you read it the way you think you wrote it. Waiting a day helps to clear your mind and see things as they are.
Add your call to action at the bottom of the post.
Do you want people to follow you on twitter? Then say it.
Do you want people to comment on your post? Then say it.
Do you want people to follow you on Facebook? Then say it.
Don’t go overboard with your calls to action. One or two are usually good enough.
If you want more information on CTAs, check out this page.
Post your finished post to the web.
Great, now send me a link to your post and I will post it on this page for others to see!!
I hope you enjoyed this little challenge. If I get enough interest, I will turn this into a free video course. So, if you are interested, please leave a comment below.
